IBS Corporate Profile
The International Business School (lBS) was established in 1997 as a graduate
school of management to offer management and economic courses. Formed as an extension of the Faculty of Management and Human Resource
Development (FPPSM) at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), a premier technology university, IBS is structured
as a centre of excellence envisioned to lead the education sector in postgraduate management education.
The MBA programme focuses particularly on management and healthcare as pratised in hospitals and medical centres.
Special attention will be given to innovative methodologies, management techniques and strategies that would provide the means to overcome the challenges and competition expected in local and regional healthcare services.
The Executive MBA is conducted by the International Business School (IBS), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), to be offered as an in-house programme for specific organisations as well as to the public at large. The purpose of the Executive MBA is to give management education in the context of a lifelong learning programme and to develop human capital well-versed in strategic thinking and decision making skills required to effectively manage change in corporate sector organisations.
The International Business School (lBS) had developed and introduced a programme (EDP) that utilizes a number of short courses covering all aspects of managing an organisation.
The EDP is tailored exclusively to further enhance the capability of participants' managerial competences. It focuses on preparing participants to face an ever-changing market demand. This is done by the advancement of management knowledge through special courses conceived of market-oreiented teaching and related training.
